Andrew Tate and Brother Arrested in Miami on UK Extradition Request

Social media influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested by federal authorities in Miami on Saturday, July 18, 2026. The U.S. Marshals Service confirmed the arrests, which were made based on an extradition request from the United Kingdom. Although U.S. authorities did not immediately announce specific charges due to a sealed warrant, the brothers are wanted in the UK on serious allegations.

British prosecutors announced they are seeking the extradition of the Tate brothers to face charges including rape, sex trafficking, assault, and offenses related to child and extreme pornography. These alleged crimes reportedly took place between July 2010 and August 2017. The Crown Prosecution Service recently brought additional charges after four new alleged victims came forward.

Andrew Tate, 39, faces seven counts of rape, three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, three counts of assault, and 19 additional charges related to indecent images of a child and extreme pornography. His brother, Tristan Tate, 38, is facing one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape, and three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation. The brothers, who hold dual U.S. and British citizenship, had previously faced human trafficking charges in Romania.
