Bill Gates says Epstein wanted personal relationship, but he 'never reciprocated'

Bill Gates recently testified before the House Oversight Committee, stating that his association with Jeffrey Epstein was a "grave error in judgment" he deeply regrets. Gates informed lawmakers that while Epstein pursued a personal relationship, he "never reciprocated" those advances and denied any knowledge of Epstein's criminal activities. He further clarified that he never visited Epstein's private properties, including his island.

The Microsoft co-founder explained that he was introduced to Epstein in 2011 by trusted individuals who presented Epstein as someone capable of securing significant philanthropic funding for global health initiatives. Gates maintained that their interactions, which ceased in 2014, were solely focused on these potential charitable endeavors, and he cut ties when it became clear Epstein would not deliver on his promises. Gates also acknowledged that Epstein attempted to leverage information about his extramarital affairs to pressure him into re-engaging, an effort that was ultimately unsuccessful.
