Simon revealed that she sought extensive evaluation at the Mayo Clinic after experiencing worsening mobility issues, initially attributing them to multiple joint replacement surgeries for arthritis.

In addition to her Parkinson's diagnosis, Simon also disclosed that she recently underwent treatment for basal cell carcinoma, a common form of skin cancer, on her face.
