Man arrested after toddler found in crocodile enclosure at UK zoo

A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident at Johnsons of Old Hurst zoo in Huntingdonshire, UK. A three-year-old boy sustained serious injuries after ending up in a crocodile enclosure at the facility on Thursday afternoon. The boy was airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, where he is currently in a critical but stable condition.

Authorities do not believe the arrested man, who is from Norfolk, knew the child. Reports suggest the young boy may have been thrown into the enclosure.

Cambridgeshire Police's major crime unit is investigating the distressing incident, and the zoo's tropical house, which houses the crocodile enclosure, has been closed indefinitely out of respect for the family. Specially trained officers are supporting the boy's family at the hospital.
