Danish football star Christian Eriksen collapsed on the field during a friendly match against Ukraine in Odense on Sunday, June 7, 2026, marking a concerning incident that echoed his previous collapse in 2021. The 34-year-old midfielder was seen clutching his chest before falling to the ground in the 65th minute of the game. Medical teams quickly responded, and players from both Denmark and Ukraine formed a protective circle around him as he received immediate attention.

Eriksen, who was fitted with an implanted cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) after suffering cardiac arrest at Euro 2020, regained consciousness shortly after the collapse and was reported to be doing well under the circumstances. He was able to walk off the pitch to an ambulance, and Denmark's team doctor indicated that his pacemaker appeared to be functioning as intended.
