Three firefighters killed battling huge wildfires on Colorado-Utah border

Tragically, three firefighters have died and two others were injured while combating extensive wildfires along the Colorado-Utah border. The U.S. Wildland Fire Service reported that the incident occurred on Saturday, June 27, when crews responding to the Knowles and Gore fires in Mesa County were overrun by the blaze, forcing them to deploy emergency shelters. The two injured firefighters are currently receiving treatment at a local burn center.
