New details emerge in Epstein assistant's abuse allegations; GOP calls for DOJ investigation

New information has emerged regarding abuse allegations from Jeffrey Epstein's longtime assistant, Sarah Kellen, prompting Republican lawmakers to demand a Department of Justice investigation. During recent closed-door testimony before congressional investigators, Kellen accused celebrity hairstylist Frederic Fekkai and former Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine of sexual assault in separate incidents, and alleged that fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier exposed himself to her. She also provided further details of her own prolonged sexual and psychological abuse by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, characterizing herself as a victim who experienced years of manipulation and control.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer and other Republican representatives are urging federal law enforcement to review these serious claims. Comer stated that the committee's role is not to determine guilt but believes the new allegations warrant a thorough investigation by the DOJ. Fekkai and Levine have reportedly denied the accusations made against them.

Kellen, who denied being an accomplice, testified that she was sexually and psychologically abused by Epstein for over a decade and was never interviewed by the Department of Justice until 2019, despite her long-standing role.
