FBI Raids Former Rep. Eric Swalwell’s Home in Probe Tied to Sexual Assault Claims

Federal agents reportedly seized electronic devices from former U.S. Representative Eric Swalwell at the San Francisco airport and subsequently raided his Washington, D.C. home over the past weekend. These actions are part of an ongoing federal investigation linked to multiple sexual assault allegations against the former Democratic congressman. Sources familiar with the probe confirmed that the seizures and raid are connected to these claims.

Swalwell resigned from Congress in April 2026 following detailed reports from news outlets regarding accusations of sexual misconduct, including claims of sexual assault and sending unsolicited explicit messages. Both the Manhattan District Attorney's Office and the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department had initiated criminal investigations into the allegations after they first emerged.
