While UEFA confirmed a departure payment and coverage of MBA fees were made, they maintain these actions were consistent with regulations in place at the time, noting that these rules have since been strengthened.

Infantino and FIFA have vehemently denied all allegations, branding them as "categorically untrue," "defamatory," and without basis. A FIFA spokesperson asserted that no complaints regarding Infantino's conduct were ever lodged by employees at either organization, as no such incidents occurred.
