A private Learjet 60 crashed in Greenacres, Palm Beach County, Florida, on Sunday, November 1, killing all nine people on board. Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) indicated that the aircraft may have begun to break apart mid-air before impact, with debris scattered across a wide area. Weather conditions, including reports of icing and moderate turbulence from the flight crew, are a primary focus of the ongoing investigation.

The victims included a Texas family of four: Austin-based tech entrepreneur Adam Robinson, 45, his wife Helen Sharp, 40, and their two young children, Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2. Also tragically killed were the family's nanny, Anita Maria Cetina, and two close friends, Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr.

The flight crew members who perished were Captain Jeff Gregory, 55, and co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, 20, who had obtained her pilot's license at age 17. Air traffic control recordings captured the pilots reporting ice accumulation and turbulence before declaring an emergency and a rapid, uncontrolled descent. The Bahamas-bound jet had departed from Austin, Texas, and crashed into a roadway, creating a crater and erupting in flames.
