Four women accuse Jared Leto of criminal sexual conduct when they were teenagers

Actor and musician Jared Leto is facing new accusations of criminal sexual conduct from four women who allege the incidents occurred when they were teenagers. These claims are detailed in a new BBC documentary titled "Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret," which features a total of ten women sharing their alleged experiences. The encounters are reported to have taken place between 2002 and 2016, during which Leto was in his thirties and forties, and nine of the women are speaking publicly for the first time.

The specific allegations from the four women include claims of sexual assault in a motel bathroom when one accuser was 17, and an instance of statutory rape in California with another 17-year-old. Additionally, one woman alleges Leto threatened her with sexual assault in a hotel room when she was 19, while another, who was 16, claims to have been groomed by him, receiving sexually explicit phone calls and a suggestion for sex. Two former staff members of Leto's band, Thirty Seconds to Mars, also reportedly expressed discomfort regarding his interactions with teenage girls.

Jared Leto, who is 54, has vehemently denied all accusations, stating, "I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false." While the BBC stated it corroborated several accounts with friends and family, and reviewed supporting evidence in some cases, CBS News has not independently corroborated the accusations. No criminal charges have been filed against Leto, who had previously faced and denied allegations of sexual impropriety reported by Air Mail in June 2025.
