Luigi Mangione’s state murder trial scheduled to begin with jury selection on September 8

The high-profile state murder trial of Luigi Mangione, accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, is scheduled to commence on September 8 with jury selection. The proceedings are set to take place in New York, and a judge has ruled that the jury will remain anonymous, a measure often implemented in cases attracting significant public attention.

Mangione faces multiple charges, including second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal possession of a forged instrument, to all of which he has pleaded not guilty.
