A dramatic mid-air incident occurred today on Ryanair Flight FR1879, traveling from Thessaloniki, Greece, to Memmingen, Germany. The flight experienced an engine failure shortly after takeoff, with debris reportedly striking and shattering a passenger window. The cabin rapidly depressurized, and a 61-year-old Serbian passenger was reportedly partially sucked out of the broken window, with his head and shoulders exposed to the outside.

Fortunately, the man's wife held onto his legs, preventing him from being fully ejected from the aircraft. The pilots managed to execute an emergency landing back at Thessaloniki airport.

Upon landing, the injured passenger received medical attention and was hospitalized for shock and friction burns from the freezing wind. Ryanair confirmed the incident, stating that a replacement aircraft was arranged for the remaining passengers to continue their journey.
