Ukrainian woman who disguised herself as a man is main suspect in Monaco attack

Interpol has identified a Ukrainian woman as the prime suspect in a recent bomb attack in Monaco that injured three people, including a Ukrainian-born business tycoon and his family. Anastasiia Berezovska, 39, is wanted under an Interpol Red Notice after authorities reported she was disguised as a man when she remotely detonated a parcel bomb on Monday, June 29, 2026. The explosion wounded businessman Vadym Yermolaiev, his partner, and their 13-year-old son; Yermolaiev's partner sustained critical injuries requiring double amputation.

Following the attack, Berezovska reportedly fled on foot into France before driving a German-rented vehicle through several European countries back to Germany, her last known residence. Monaco's deputy prosecutor indicated that the sophistication of the explosive device suggests the suspect likely did not act alone, and investigations are ongoing to identify any accomplices.
