USS Abraham Lincoln arrives in Thailand after months of combat in Middle East

The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier, with its crew of approximately 5,000 service members, has arrived in eastern Thailand at Laem Chabang port after a prolonged deployment in the Middle East. The ship had been supporting U.S. military operations against Iran.

This deployment marked a record-setting uninterrupted period at sea, with the carrier spending over 250 days without a full port call, and some reports indicating up to 286 days at sea. The extended duration of the deployment had raised concerns regarding the crew's mental well-being and reports of supply shortages.

The stop in Thailand is intended to provide the sailors and Marines with an opportunity for rest, recuperation, and logistical support before the carrier eventually returns to its home base in the United States.
