This accomplishment followed Scheffler's victory at the Tour Championship on Sunday, August 30, 2026, where he secured his second FedEx Cup title. His career earnings now stand at $130,390,661.

Scheffler earned a $10 million prize for winning the Tour Championship, which catapulted him past Woods' longstanding record of $120,999,166. Woods had maintained the top spot on the career money list for nearly 26 years, setting the standard for athlete earnings in golf since February 2000.
