Secret Service aware of Iranian state media video threatening life of Barron Trump

The U.S. Secret Service has confirmed it is actively monitoring a video broadcast by Iranian state media that reportedly contains threats against the life of Barron Trump, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump. Secret Service spokesman Nate Herring stated that the agency is aware of the video and investigates anything perceived as a threat toward its protectees, while declining to discuss specific protective intelligence matters due to operational security concerns.

The nearly three-minute video, reportedly titled "Where to kill Barron Trump?" or "Where and How Barron Trump Should Be Killed," utilized stylized graphics depicting surveillance, online activity, and general locations where he might be found. Some reports also indicated the video claimed a $10 million bounty had been placed on Barron Trump, though these claims have not been independently verified. The footage allegedly showed images of New York University dorms and claimed to have located some of his social media and gaming accounts.

These threats from Iranian state media are part of a pattern of content circulated against President Trump and his family since the U.S. assassination of Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, which initiated a war between the two nations. Similar videos and alleged plots against other members of the Trump family and former U.S. officials have also been reported in recent years.
