Justices Kagan and Barrett demand more Supreme Court security funding

During the hearings, Justice Barrett shared personal experiences, including a "swatting" incident at her home and receiving a bulletproof vest due to intense threats, underscoring the immediate dangers they face. The Supreme Court is seeking over $228 million for the upcoming fiscal year, a nearly $20 million increase, with a substantial portion dedicated to expanding personal protection for justices, establishing an off-site residential security office, and enhancing overall court security.
