After Holmes pressed the President on remarks made by Senator Jon Ossoff and later on North Korea, the White House's official social media account posted a video clip assailing her as a "disgraceful, humiliating embarrassment" and suggested her children would be "embarrassed" by her questions. CNN vigorously defended Holmes, asserting that she was performing her journalistic duties by asking relevant questions and condemning the personal attacks as "beneath the office."
