Trump Downplays China Interference, Imposes Tariffs, Vows Lebanon Aid

Amidst ongoing discussions surrounding election security, Trump publicly accused China of extensive interference in the 2020 U.S. election, claiming they illicitly acquired 220 million voter files. He further suggested a "deep state" effort to conceal the extent of this alleged meddling, despite U.S. intelligence assessments indicating no evidence of foreign actors altering the 2020 vote outcome.

Concurrently, the Trump administration has escalated trade tensions with Canada by imposing new 50% tariffs on a broad array of Canadian imports.
