Trump hints at resuming Iran war, claims Starlink restored for Ukraine

Former President Donald Trump has recently made statements regarding potential military action against Iran and his alleged role in restoring Starlink services for Ukraine. Trump indicated a willingness to "go further" in the ongoing conflict with Iran, asserting that the United States has already inflicted significant damage and could undertake additional military action. He also claimed that American forces have militarily and financially defeated Iran, ensuring the nation will not obtain nuclear weapons. Trump additionally accused Iran of fabricating reports of attacks on oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, suggesting these were attempts to influence oil prices ahead of the US midterm elections. Reports indicate that both US and Israeli militaries have developed plans for potential renewed strikes on Iran following the November midterm elections, though Trump's approval remains uncertain.

Regarding Ukraine's Starlink access, Trump stated on Thursday that Elon Musk had restored the satellite internet services, which had previously faced disruptions impacting Ukrainian military communications. While Trump declined to confirm if he personally intervened with Musk, reports from The Wall Street Journal suggested he had called the SpaceX CEO to request the lifting of restrictions. However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy contradicted this claim on the same day, indicating that the Starlink system's speed for military use had not yet returned to normal.
