A man already facing charges for the murder of a UK politician has been further charged with preparing acts of terrorism, including against Reform UK leader Nigel Farage. Joshua Kerry, 28, from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, stands accused of one count of preparing terrorist acts. These alleged activities reportedly occurred between May 31, 2024, and July 8, 2026.

Kerry was previously charged with the murder of 78-year-old Ann Widdecombe, a Reform UK spokesperson and former Conservative minister. Widdecombe died in July after being attacked at her home in Devon. Authorities stated that she was hit with a hammer 21 times.

Counter Terrorism Policing confirmed the new charges, describing the investigation as "hugely intensive and complex." Kerry was scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on October 7.
