Ukraine is reportedly facing a critical shortage of Patriot missile interceptors, leaving its crucial air defense systems severely vulnerable to intensified Russian ballistic missile attacks. Multiple reports in mid-August 2026 indicated that Ukrainian Patriot units have nearly exhausted their stocks of these vital munitions. One engineer revealed that his unit had not fired a missile in six weeks and first experienced a complete lack of interceptors in December 2025, demonstrating the prolonged nature of this challenge.
