US sanctions intensify pressure on Iran as USS Roosevelt sails to Middle East

The United States has recently escalated its economic campaign against Iran with a new round of sanctions, dubbed "Operation Economic Outcast," unveiled on August 24, 2026. These measures target critical sectors of the Iranian economy, including digital assets, technology, gold, aviation, and shipping, aiming to sever global financial connections that support Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard.
