Game 3 of the World Series is underway, stakes high for Tampa Bay and Milwaukee

The 2026 World Series is currently underway, featuring a matchup between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brewers have taken an early lead in the best-of-seven series, securing victories in both Game 1 and Game 2. These initial contests were closely fought, with Milwaukee winning Game 1 by a score of 3-2 and Game 2 with a 5-4 finish.

Game 3 of the series took place on Monday, October 26th, at Tropicana Field, marking the shift of the series to Tampa Bay's home turf. With the Brewers holding a 2-0 advantage heading into Game 3, the stakes were particularly high for the Rays to gain ground in front of their home crowd. Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27th, also in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Both the Tampa Bay Rays and the Milwaukee Brewers are vying for their first-ever World Series championship, adding significant historical weight to this series. The Brewers reached the World Series for the second time in their history in 2026, their first appearance since 1982, while the Rays are making their third attempt at the title, having previously lost in 2008 and 2020.
